Now question number 12, asks us to effectively combine two sentences two together. 2 And these two sentences say that artificial light is now known to cause sleep 3 problems. It does this by impacting circadian rhythm. 4 So the best way to go about a question like this is going to 5 be, to use process of elimination, to get rid of any answer choices that 6 we know don't sound good. And then hopefully arrive at one answer choice in 7 the end that will work and will sound pretty good. 8 And if we look at a, it says, um, can cause problems because of 9 its impact on circadian rhythm. And so that should roll off the tongue tongue, 10 right? It sounds pretty good. Um, because of is a common phrase that people 11 say impact on is also good. 12 It's not really repetitive. So a first glance seems to be a really good 13 answer choice. 14 If we look at B, right, we have a semi-colon, 15 it can cause sleep problems. Its impact is on blank. 16 And so B is perhaps a little bit more wordy unnecessarily than 17 a right, because it tells us its impact is on rather than just saying 18 because of the impact on right. 19 So we have an extra is in here.
