So an apostrophe equals possession. 4 It's actually the opposite. When you talk about it, 5 apostrophe S that's an exception, but in this case, 6 all of the words here with an apostrophe are going to show possession. 7 And so the first thing we should see, right, is that these crowds are 8 going to judge the paintings merits. 9 And so the, the merits don't actually possess anything, 10 if anything, it's the paintings that possess the merits, 11 right? So when we see that, we should know that merits needs to have 12 no apostrophe, whereas paintings should have an apostrophe, 13 right? So that, with that in mind, 14 we can eliminate a B because it has an apostrophe in merits, 15 which is going to be unnecessary. And then also D because it also has 16 an apostrophe in merits. 17 And so now we just have to decide, should paintings have an apostrophe, 18 and where should it go? Right.
