Explanation for Question 42 From the Writing Section on the 2021 May Sat (International)
Hey guys. So question 42 is just going to be a weird question where 2 it's asking us a vocabulary, but it's based off of , 3 which essentially means like what sounds right. 4 What people commonly use when they're talking about something like this. 5 So it says the result was a blink of extremely tall buildings. 6 What they're trying to say here is that a lot of, um, 7 really tall buildings were created as a result of this. 8 And when to figure out here is like, even though all these might be 9 saying the same thing, what do people actually use? 10 So our options are inflation, amplification, 11 proliferation, and dissemination. 12 So I'm not gonna run up the other ones. 13 Cause they're like right here, I'm pretty clear, 14 but inflation would be more commonly used if someone said like, 15 like the numbers are being inflated or there was like, 16 you know, like, you know, something having to do with, 17 with numerical amounts as opposed to a lot more buildings being created and the 18 amplification would be like, something is now louder than 19 it was, which is Israel. 20 We're trying to say a transcript. There are more buildings. 21 Dissemination is when something is like spread out. 22 Um, like you disseminate information, 23 whereas proliferation is simply telling us like that these are more just, 24 th these are more common. There's a proliferation as more of them are being 25 created and will all these kinds of mean the same thing. 26 It's just kind of based off of what sounds right for questions like these, 27 whereas no one says there's an inflation of billings. 28 We would say there's maybe a proliferation of them. 29 So just what's commonly use in this scenario.
