Explanation for Question 28 From the Writing Section on the 2021 May Sat (International)

Hey guys. So question 28. There's going to be a redundancy question. 2 So the question is like this, we need to eliminate repeating language. 3 We can't say the same thing twice. Now what the sentence reads as current 4 says, at the same time, a group of marketing executives was simultaneously asked which 5 message would be the most effective with the target group. 6 So what census trying to tell us is at the same time, 7 um, at the same time, so, 8 you know, something happening at the same time or something else, 9 a group of marketing executives was asked, 10 blank group was asked. 11 So you figure out which of these is going to eliminate redundant language and 12 the problem with, um, the no change options. 13 It says at the same time. And it says simultaneously that 14 means the same thing simultaneously literally means at the same time. 15 So we can't use that option because it's redundant option B says, 16 well, the target group was asked the same thing. 17 A group of marketing executives was asked blank. 18 This again is repeating at the same time. 19 At the same time, it was already there. So saying at the same time, 20 while it's hard group was asked the same thing, a group marketing executives was 21 asked blank. This is again, just repeating that these, 22 they were asked at the same time option C says at the same time 23 a group of marketing executives was collectively all asked together. 24 This is being redundant by saying collectively, 25 all asked together. This is again just repeating that it's at the same time 26 and all these sound really, really weird except for the last one that just 27 says at the same time, a group of marketing executives was asked blank. 28 It's just not redundant because it doesn't repeat that's at the same time by 29 saying stuff like simultaneously. So that's why that answer is the correct.
