So question number 15 is not necessarily a question of subject verb agreement, 2 although it looks like it, but it's actually a question of parallel ism. 3 And so what we're trying to do here is we're trying to pick the 4 correct tense of the verb, right? 5 We're looking at verb tents. And so if we look at all of these, 6 they're all singular, right? They all work for a singular subject in which cases, 7 Gillis. But what we need to know is what type of tents do we 8 need to use. And in order to find this out, 9 we have to go back into the sentence, back into the paragraph and see 10 what are the verb tenses that the author already uses. 11 Now, if we look at the sentence with our question, we see that Gillis 12 collects samples from songs and blank, 13 arranges them into different forms. And so since we used collects here, 14 right, the simple present form of the verb, 15 just simple singular collects. 16 We want to use the same type of verb, 17 but with a range, right? So we didn't use a two up here. 18 We didn't use a did up here and we didn't use an ING up 19 here, right? B is a ranges, 20 which is very similar to collects. And so that's an example of parallelism. 21 If you use one verb tense earlier, you also want to use it later. 22 And so that's why our correct answer is going to be B.
