And the reason that we need that comma after Georgia is because 4 our sentence starts out with an independent clause. 5 Then it's followed by a dependent clause that begins with the word where, 6 so let's break this down a bit. We have in 2016, 7 Dyson began her Vista service at forefoot Forsyth farmer's market in Savannah, 8 Georgia. That is an independent clause, 9 right? We have our subject Dyson and our verb began. 10 So we have an IC. And then this is going to be followed by 11 a dependent clause where in exchange for a modest salary and benefits, 12 she supports the organization. This is going to be a dependent clause because it 13 begins with aware, right? So we actually don't know what the subject is, 14 right. 15 We don't know who or what they're doing, 16 where they support the organization. 17 So we have a dependent clause, but what's important is it begins with the 18 word where, and when you have a word begin beginning of dependent clause, 19 such as where, which, 20 or who you always want to put a comma in front of those. 21 So you can kind of think of it as if you have a dependent 22 clause that begins with a w word.
