So we should read up, 7 um, from the start of the sentence, 8 which says grabbing his palette Turner faced his own painting and put a glob 9 of bright red paint about the size of a quarter in the center of 10 the canvas, shaping it with a few brief brush strokes then without a word 11 left the gallery. Right? So prior to then, 12 without a word we're really describing an action of Turner's right. 13 Something Turner did, that was a little bit odd in the middle of the 14 gallery. 15 He started painting on his painting. That's not normally something that you would see. 16 And then here, when we say he left the gallery, 17 that gives us a little bit more information about what was happening. 18 We can see that perhaps he was trying to make a statement because he 19 did something very odd and then immediately left. 20 Right? And that's kind of, um, consistent with answer choice a, 21 because it says that adding that underlying portion provides a detail that reinforces 22 the abrupt nature of Turner's action, 23 right?
