Now question number 27 or 28, 2 rather the correct answer is B, which says that these maps of the floodplains. 3 And what you'll notice is that this question is kind of the opposite of 4 what you might be used to, or normally we like to choose the question 5 that is most short, right? The most concise, 6 but in this, in this case, we actually chose the longest answer choice. 7 And I'll go ahead and show you why. If we look at the beginning 8 of our sentence, it says, been combined them with field data to create forest 9 maps. And then this goes on to say some more and so that we 10 don't really need here, but he combined them with more field data. 11 Nowhere else in the sentence, has it told us what them are. 12 Right. So just saying them is really ambiguous. 13 We don't know what he actually combined with the field data. 14 And D does the same thing, right? When we say those that still doesn't 15 tell us what he was actually working with, what he was combining. 16 So a and D actually don't have enough information and the reader would be 17 confused because they don't know, um, 18 what Shukman was working with now, 19 what's wrong with C is that, you know, shook men can't combine floodplains, 20 right? Like floodplains are, I guess, 21 like ecosystems and habitats and environments on earth that you can't physically, 22 you know, pick up and combine with data. What he was really doing was 23 combining maps with data to create new maps, 24 right? So he took old maps, combined them with new names, 25 new data, and create a new maps. And so the fact that they produce 26 the maps tells us that he must have been working with maps, 27 which is why B is better than C.
