Explanation for Question 27 From the Writing Section on the 2019 October Sat

Now question number 27 is a word choice question. 2 So when we read our sentence, we're going to want to look for context 3 clues, right? And it says the program employed light detection, 4 light detection, and ranging technology, 5 which uses lasers from satellites to blink highly accurate topograph topographical 6 maps. Right? So we have now topographical maps, 7 maybe we're creating these maps, right? 8 So you want my, we might want a word similar to create, 9 um, right. And even it says, create here. 10 So that's kind of a hint that we want a word that's kind of 11 similar to create. And if we look at the sentence that we've already used, 12 it says induce, right. And so induce this kind of similar to cause. 13 And just because you caused something doesn't mean that you actually created it. 14 Right. Um, for example, 15 um, going outside in the rain for a long period of time might cause 16 you to be sick, but you didn't create the sickness. 17 So those are different words. Oh. And we actually see the word cause and 18 answer choice D right. And so we just talked through that. 19 So that's also why be Israel and to accomplish something again, 20 doesn't mean that you created it right. And accomplishment doesn't necessarily mean a creation. 21 Although sometimes they can be creations. Right? 22 So since B lacks, that element of creation, 23 all that's left is seed. Now, if you generate something that means that you've 24 built something, right. You've taken something, 25 you've created it, right. These are going to be synonyms with create. 26 And so that's why C it's going to be our best answer because it's 27 most similar to the word create, which we see later on in the passage.
