Explanation for Question 7 From the Math (Calc) Section on the 2019 October Sat
Now number seven, we're told that a graph of Y equals three X minus 2 five, um, is shown in the X, 3 Y plane. And we're asked what is the slope of that line? 4 So what we really need to be able to do here is take an 5 equation and know what the three and the negative five mean, 6 right? And so that negative five is going to be our Y intercept and 7 whatever number is attached to your X will always be your slope. 8 And so since we're asked for the slope of our line, 9 the best answer must be C because the slope is always what's in front 10 of the X, which in this case is a three.
