Question number two reads one important theme of the passage developed through the narrator's 2 presentation of Kerry is that, so let's take a look at how 3 the narrator presents, carry in the passage and see kind of what lessons we're 4 able to derive from that. Um, 5 so the beginning of the passage focuses mostly on what Carrie actually 6 sees in the play. So we won't focus there. 7 We're going to want to look at how the narrator characterizes Carey that's going 8 to be in this second column. 9 Um, talks about carries a longing of 10 this world that she wants to be a part of, 11 um, which she views as an extraordinarily beautiful thing. 12 Um, she felt lost in the world that it represented and wished 13 that she might never return, um, 14 conceiving a new idea of the possibilities of her city and 15 the city as a world of pleasure and delight. 16 So it really opened her eyes to this 17 finery that she had never experienced before. 18 Um, and it's something that doesn't resonate with her life experience. 19 And essentially what we see is Carrie becoming a little bit disappointed, 20 um, her life, 21 isn't what the rest of the world was enjoying. 22 So looking at our answer choices, choice ass, 23 natural talent will languish if it remains on nourished. 24 So this idea of natural talent languishing, 25 isn't something that we see discussed.
