[Video] Q38: The recommended daily intake of potassium for an eight-month-old child is what fraction of that recommended for a two-year-old child?

Explanation for Question 38 From the Math (Calc) Section on the 2018 May Sat

Question 38 says the recommended daily intake of potassium for an eight month 2 old child is what fraction of that recommended for two year old child. 3 So let's find where the eight months ranges that's right here and their potassium 4 intake is 700. So that's our numerator in the fraction. 5 Then we can find three-year-olds, which is right underneath that. 6 And their potassium intake is 3000, 7 which is our denominator. So our fraction is 700 8 over 3000, but of course, 9 that can be simplified. I'm going to divide both sides or the numerator and 10 the denominator by 100 and I get seven over 11 30 and that's our final answer.
