Explanation for Question 12 From the Writing Section on the 2018 March Sat

Hey guys. So question 12 is dealing with a list and 2 so list questions and the sat generally work in the same way every time. 3 And I'll explain that in a second, but first let's just take a quick 4 read through the relevant sentence here. Um, 9 so what we're dealing with here is a list of three items and those 10 items are African-American musicians, writers, 11 and other artists, and the rule for any list of more 12 than two items. And that's it is that it's going to go like this. 13 You're going to have, let's just say our list is apples, 14 um, dogs and cats. 15 So you, you do your first item, 16 comma, your second item, comma and 17 your last item. And there are two commas, 18 one that comes after the first item one that comes after the second item, 19 and there's no calm after the other and, 20 and does not necessarily come after the last item that that might depend on 21 the sentence, but generally there's not, um, 22 that's not really what that city is going to usually test you on anyway. 23 So pretty much we need to find our answer choice. 24 That gives us a comma after our second item in the list. 25 And remember that is African-American musicians, 26 writers, and other artists. 27 So I was loo...
