What you can expect from SoFlo Tutors as a business and your rights as a customer.
Our billing cycle runs every week from Sunday to Saturday. For weekly payments, invoices are sent out on Sundays for whatever hours the student did the previous week. For package invoices, you will receive an invoice after you schedule the first session. You can pay invoices with a credit card, and after your first payment, you will be enrolled in autopay and receive weekly receipts. If you would like to be removed from autopay, please contact [email protected]. You can access your billing account anytime from soflotutors.com/pay to pay, change your billing information, and see all your invoices and payments.
Refunds and Disputes
We can’t buy your happiness and loyalty, but we are going to try. You can stop tutoring and receive a refund for any unused hours at anytime by emailing [email protected]. If you’re unhappy, please reach out to us. We only want you to pay us if you like us.
To schedule sessions, reach out directly to your tutor, so you don’t need a middle man. We aim to be accommodating and fit into your schedule, so most of our tutors have weekend and weekday evening availability. We suggest but do not require, students to meet with their tutors for two hours a week and complete two hours of homework.
If you are having scheduling difficulties, please reach out to [email protected]. We are always willing to change tutors to accommodate your schedule as long as we have the availability.
Rescheduling, canceling, or not showing up to a session within 12 hours is considered a cancellation. We all make mistakes, so the first cancellation is a warning. After the second cancellation, you will be charged a cancellation fee for the entire cost of the session. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please reach out to [email protected], and we can waive the cancellation fee.
Your time is valuable. If your tutor cancels within 12 hours of a session, you are entitled to a $60 credit.
You can stop tutoring at any time. If you would like to stop, please let your tutor know you will not be continuing. You can also email Christina at [email protected].
We do not offer score guarantees because studying is like going to the gym, and students have to work hard to get results. We are not taking the test for our students, so we cannot guarantee an outcome. If a student is not improving, we want to identify that before they take the test. That’s why we give students practice tests to monitor their improvement. If we’re not seeing results, we can change our approach or you can stop tutoring entirely.
Student-tutor chemistry is crucial to success! If you don’t vibe with your tutor, you can switch at any time. Please reach out to [email protected], and we’ll pair you with a new tutor. If you don’t enjoy the first session with the new tutor, you will not be charged.
We do our best to keep students with the same tutor, but sometimes a tutor will have a family emergency or accept a new job. In this case, the student will be switched to a new tutor. The old tutor and new tutor will speak with each other to make the transition as smooth as possible.
