Explanation for Question 7 From the Math (No Calc) Section on the Official Sat Practice Test 9

Question seven. We have, if eight of her X is equal to 160, 2 what is the value of X? So let's write that out a little bigger. 3 We've got eight over X is equal to one 60. 4 So let's multiply both sides by X to try and isolate X on its 5 own. So multiplying both sides by X, 6 we get that the X is on this side, cancel out and we're left 7 with just eight is equal to 160 X. 8 And now we can pretty easily solve for X by dividing both sides by 9 one 60. So these ones, 10 sixties cancel out and we get eight over 160 is equal to 11 X and eight over 160 is equal to one 12 over 20 or 0.05. 13 So with that, we pick DS are correcting.
