Explanation for Question 30 From the Reading Section on the Official Sat Practice Test 8

Okay. So for number 30, it says, according to the information in the graph, 2 when the microscope tip is moving away from the salt surface away 3 from the salt surface. Right? So obviously we're gonna have to go into the 4 graph. What graph are we looking at though? 5 We're looking at the second graph because we're looking about, 6 um, moving away from the salt surface. 7 Right. And so then it says, um, 8 and is 15 nanometers from the surface. 9 Okay. We have to look at where it's 15 nanometers from the surface, 10 which is right here. Okay. So that's what we're looking at here. 11 What is the approximate force in micronutrients? 12 Well, guess what, literally all you're doing here is reading the graph and this 13 is between 0.5 and point in once that's like 0.7, 14 five. So, bam, it's just an easy reading of the graph you should never 15 get, or you should try to never get a graph question wrong because usually 16 when students get a graph question wrong, it's like a very careless mistake rather 17 than like an actual misunderstanding and not understanding how to use the graph. 18 They're the easiest questions to get, right? So you want to really make sure 19 that you're going slow on the graph questions and that you are, 20 you know, moving back and forth between the graph and the question you don't 21 want to just answer this without looking at the graph, it would be impossible 22 to get it right without looking at the graph. So definitely whenever it says, 23 according to either, if it says according to the passage or according to the 24 graph, you are going back into either the passage or the graph.
