[Video] Q16: If 2x + 8 = 16, what is the value of x + 4 ?

Explanation for Question 16 From the Math (No Calc) Section on the Official Sat Practice Test 7

Question 16 says if two X plus eight equals 16, 2 what is the value of X plus four? 3 So the first thing we're going to do is solve for ax using this 4 original equation. So I'm going to subtract eight from both sides to get to 5 X is equal to eight, and then I'm going to divide both sides by 6 two, which gives me X is equal to four, 7 then to find four or X plus four, 8 I'm just going to plug in four. So it's four plus four, 9 which equals eight, which is your final answer.
