Question 22 says the primary purpose of the passage is to what? 2 So let's look back in the passage here and we can look at some 3 elements in the passage and see what the purpose is. 4 So if we start, we should always start with the introduction paragraph. 5 And in this case, the introduction paragraph is introducing a problem, 6 right? It's introducing a problem with these Texas gourd plants faced when the striped 7 cucumber beetles try and get into 8 them, right? They chew up the pollen pedals. 9 You can see here that they chew up pollen and 10 pedals. They poop in the flowers, 11 they transmit diseases. So this intro paragraph is outlining a problem 12 that these gourd plants face. And then the rest of the passage goes on 13 to describe this recent study conducted by Nina Theiss and Lynn 14 Adler on this problem. 15 And you can see that this next paragraph here starting in 26 is going 16 to kind of explain a hypothesis that they're testing, 17 right? 18 That intuition suggesting is something that they're kind of gathering from their 19 own knowledge, and they're going to test, and then you can see starting 20 on the next kind of column here, 21 they're outlining their experiment process. 22 So this is how they went about testing that hypothesis that we just talked 23 about. And then you can see at the end that this is just talking 24 about the results. So all of this here is going to be results, 25 um, and like conclusions based off of their research. 26 So let's look at ...
