Question 16 says the authors indicate that the public is coming to believe that 2 journalists reports should avoid. What? So let's look in the passage here for some 3 evidence on what the public believes journalists report should avoid. 4 We can find evidence for this in the second to last paragraph starting in 5 line 70. It says there is a growing feeling as expressed by several of 6 our focus group participants. So we know that this is a growing feeling of 7 the people who are consuming news, that the news media should be informative rather 8 than authoritative. The job of journalists should be to give the news as raw 9 as it is without putting their slant on it. And people should be given 10 sufficient information from which we should be able to form opinions of our own. 11 So we know this is the evidence that we're supposed to be looking at, 12 because if we look back at the question, it says that we're looking 13 for what the public, 14 once journalists reports to avoid. 15 And this little piece of this paragraph pretty 16 clearly outlines the growing feeling of the public with regards 17 to the role of journalists. 18 Now we can see here that they're saying that journalists should report informative 19 news rather than authoritative news. They should give it as raw as it is 20 without putting their slant on it.
