So question 19 is going to be dealing with cutting out redundant 2 language when we're combining two sentences. 3 So this says the researchers then process and combine the images into a composite 4 picture. They called the composite picture, 5 the Hubble deep fry field. 6 Excuse me. So what we need to do is not repeat ourselves. 7 We already know that there's a composite picture. 8 It tells us that those are composite picture right here, 9 this, and then starts off by saying they called the composite, 10 picture this with this. You already know we're talking about a composite picture. 11 We can just say they turn the images into a composite picture called the, 12 um, HDF. We can just say it straight up like that. 13 We don't need to say repeat that. We're talking about a composite picture if 14 we're already talking about it. So working from the bottom, 15 um, it says composite thesis, 16 composite picture, and they then called blank, 17 the comma saying, and they then is unnecessary. 18 We don't have to say, and then we just need to say called this. 19 We are not, the researchers did this in the past. 20 Researchers then process this and called it this. 21 Um, but we don't need to say that the, 22 the comma and the, and option B uses a semi-colon 23 and thus, this is again just adding unnecessary language. 24 And so as option B saying, but comma also, 25 but would imply like a contrast, like I was tired, 26 but I went to the store because to get the food, 27 like there's no contrast here just saying that at the same time, 28 there was a composite picture that they called, um, 29 the Hubble deep field. So option a is going to be correct. 30 And it's really just because it cuts out those unnecessary things. 31 Um, those commas and semicolons aren't actually grammatically incorrect, 32 but they aren't most effectively combining it. 33 And that's why option a is correct for the SATs.
