Explanation for Question 13 From the Writing Section on the 2021 May Sat (International)

Hey guys. So question 13 is going to be dealing with uses of the 2 possessive apostrophe and S so just a quick reminder that, 3 uh, when we want to say, uh, something like, 4 uh, the horse and something that belongs to the horse, 5 like the horse has hats, we would say the horse, 6 the horse hat like that. If there were multiple horses, 7 like a group of horses and it's their hats. 8 And so it ends in S we would just put in posture after that. 9 So the horses, hats, the plural one. 10 So a group of horses has that. And, um, 11 uh, you know, a single item would have that. So we generally just put 12 the apostrophe after it. Now, 13 when it comes to this question, it says Williams wanted to test the telescopes 14 capabilities by directing it at a part of the sky. 15 So they're telling us there's one telescope. We know it's just the Hubble space 16 telescope and its capabilities. 17 So all we need to do is just do what we did here with 18 a single incident. Apostrophe S and capabilities shouldn't have any possession because it's 19 not, it's not the capabilities, 20 something, it's just the telescopes capabilities, 21 the capabilities that telescope has. So there's no possessive, 22 uh, necessitation in regards to the capabilities. 23 So it seems to be the option C fits in directly with what we're 24 looking for.
