Now question number seven is a transition word question and the best strategy to 2 approach a transition word question is to look at the sentence before the transition 3 and the sentence after, and then come up with in your mind and your 4 own words, what the relationship between those two is. 5 And then from there you can pick which word best encapsulates the transition that 6 you've decided on. So if we look at the pink sentence, 7 that's the first sentence. It says, if an instrument is not performing to a 8 musician standards, a technician needs to be able to diagnose the problem and then 9 advise the client to perform repairs. 10 Right? So this is just generally talk about when, 11 uh, when an instrument is not performing, 12 right, when an instrument, um, is, 13 is poor, right? If we have a poor instrument now 14 on the green sentence, we say a trumpet might not be functioning properly because 15 the valves have become sticky. 16 The joints have developed air leaks or the metal parts have been dented. 17 And so here we have just a trumpet, 18 right? We're no longer talking about instruments in general, 19 we're talking about a trumpet in particular. And so the relationship between these two 20 sentences is that the top sentence is very general. 21 We talk about any old instrument, whereas in the bottom sense, 22 we give a specific example of a trumpet. 23 And so if this is a general and then going to an example, 24 a good transition word might be for example, 25 or something similar. And now if we look at question number seven, 26 we have, for instance, in the first place, 27 furthermore, and likewise, and the one of those that's closest to for example, 28 is for instance, right, we're giving you an example of an instance, 29 the trumpet, when, uh, when a musical instrument would need repairs.
