So question number 43 is the question about punctuation. 2 So we're just going to go through each answer choice and see, 3 does this punctuation work grammatically now, 4 as it is, I have a comma. It should have a subject, 7 a verb, and it should stand on its own like a complete sentence. 8 So if I look at the first half, it says during its CO2 starved 9 exposure to light, the allergy had stored lights, 10 the lights, energy. This is a complete sentence, 11 right? I have the algae, which is a, a subject. 12 And then I have my verb, which was stored. 13 Now my second part says then later using that stored energy to construct 14 sugars, here's where the issue comes in, 15 right? What is my subject? 16 Who is storing the energy? I know it's the allergy, 17 but it doesn't say in this part of the sentence and the rule is 18 it needs to say and used to tell me what my subject is. 19 So that means the a is no good. If I look at B, 20 it says semi-colon then later using 21 and with a semi-colon. I also have to have two independent clauses right now. 22 If I highlight this part here, then later using that stored energy. 23 Again, I run into the same issue.
