So if we're looking at question 29 and we're trying to figure out what 2 do we need to do with this conjunction with? But first thing we can 3 notice is that we have this phrase that set off by dashes and something 4 that is extremely useful for the sat writing section is learning how to make 5 the sentence that you're working with shorter, 6 by cutting out everything that's not essential. 7 And so whenever something, something is set off in dashes, 8 you can eliminate it from the sentence because it's not essential. 9 It says should stand on its own once that's eliminated. 10 And so what we can do here is decide, okay, 11 now that I've eliminated this piece, that's probably standing in my way. 12 I can figure out what word or no word do I need to put 13 here.
