So question number 13 is an example of a subject verb agreement question, 2 right? Because we have the same verb, but we haven't in a couple different 3 forums. So the best strategy for this type of question is step one, 4 determine what the subject is. We look at the sense, 5 it says the spread of software. 6 So the spread of software that can be used to cut parts from songs 7 and paste them together. And so all of this stuff that can be used 8 to cut parts from songs, this is what we call a preposition phrase, 9 but most importantly, it's describing the software. 10 And so it's very long, it's very bulky. It can actually get in the 11 way of us seeing what our subject is, 12 right? Because our subject, isn't the songs that we're cutting and pasting together. 13 The songs aren't doing the action, it's the spread of the software. 14 And so knowing that the spread of the software is what is actually spurring 15 the, um, the creation of the music genre, 16 knowing that spread is our subject spread is singular, 17 right. And have, is plural. So have isn't going to work. 18 We want to choose the singular version of the verb, 19 which is has, so our correct answer is B.
