Explanation for Question 50 From the Reading Section on the 2019 March Sat
Looking now at question number 50, 2 we are asked to refer to the figure and we would like to know 3 at what distance from the core is the water concentration, 4 approximately 15 parts per million. 5 So let's take a look at our figure and what it represents. 6 We see on one axis on our vertical axis, 7 we have the water concentration, 8 and then on our horizontal axis, 9 we have the distance from the core. 10 So, um, also note that the entire graph is looking at this lunar 11 glass bead green number five. So although the question itself, 12 particularly references that, um, 13 that's what all of our data is referring to. So we don't need to 14 worry about this detail. We're looking at specifically bead green, 15 number five. So we want to know in parts per million is located here. 16 If we carry that across the graph, 17 it looks like that lines up right about here with this trend, 18 um, of just slightly over 100. 19 So our correct answer for number 50 should 20 be just about a hundred. 21 Um, that's exactly where, um, 22 15 parts per million water concentration lines up with the trend line 23 that we're able to see in the data.
