[Video] Q11: Based on the passage, which choice best describes the relationship between emotional support and well-being as shown by schwartz's study

Explanation for Question 11 From the Reading Section on the 2019 March Sat

Starting off with our second passage on the March, 2019 reading section. 2 Let's now take a look at question number 11, 3 based on the passage, which choice best describes the relationship between emotional 4 support and wellbeing as shown by Schwartz's study. 5 So let's take a look at the findings of that study in the passage 6 here, we see a discussion of those results. 7 Um, earlier in the passage Schwartz found that the helpers 8 reported profound improvements in their self-worth and their moods. 9 So this is the finding of that study that we're being introduced to in 10 the very beginning of this passage. So looking at our answer choices, 11 both givers and recipients received increased wellbeing. 12 Givers were reported, increased wellbeing while recipients reported, 13 no change givers supported, 14 increased wellbeing, and both givers and recipients. 15 So we see that this study is focusing or at least the results that 16 are presented are focusing solely on the givers of support rather than 17 the recipient. So we don't want to make any claims about the recipients, 18 um, which rolls out answer choices, 19 a B N D, leaving us with choice C all the author tells us 20 is that according to this study, givers of emotional support repeat, 21 reported, increased wellbeing. 22 Um, so that's our best answer twice. We don't want to make any claims 23 about the recipients that aren't supported by the passage. 24 So here we have choices.
