[Video] Q37: What is the density, in grams per cubic centimeter, of slab 1 ?

Explanation for Question 37 From the Math (Calc) Section on the 2019 April Sat

And 37, we are looking for the density in grams per cubic centimeter of 2 slab one. So in order to do this one, 3 you need to know that density is equal to mass 4 over volume. So if we look 5 at our table here, the mass of slap one is equal to 44,000 6 grams, and now we need to find the volume since it 7 gives us length with and thickness. 8 And it is a rectangular prism. 9 We can use the formula for volume, 10 which is length times, 11 width, times height, or in this case, they use the word thickness. 12 So the volume is going to equal 100 times, 13 20 times eight, which is equal to 16,000 14 centimeters cubed. So now I can plug that in to our formula 15 16,000 centimeters cubed and 16 44,000 divided by 16,000 is equal to 17 2.75 grams per cubic centimeter.
