Question number 26 says as presented in the passage, 2 the explanation for the gene changes in domestic cats is based 3 on the assumption that so we're focusing in on what that assumption is. 4 Um, anytime we're being asked to look for and identify an assumption, 5 we're going to want to look and retrace back the experimenters 6 thought process and how they set up the experiment and in how they arrived 7 at their conclusions. And generally see if there's any sort of unproven statements 8 that they're taking for granted in terms of formulating their approach. 9 So looking at the passage, 10 um, remember we're looking at the explanation for gene changes and any 11 assumptions that might've been made in constructing that process. 12 So we see that, um, 13 when the scientists are looking at explanation 14 for gene changes, they're sort of tying in to, 15 um, this paragraph here at the end of that first column on this page. 16 Um, we see that they started with the genome of a domestic cat that 17 had been published already, and then they filled in missing sequences and 18 identified genes.
