Explanation for Question 32 From the Math (Calc) Section on the 2018 May Sat
Question 32 says the function F has the property that for all X, 2 three of F of X is equal to F of three of X. 3 If F of six is equal to 12, what is the value of F 4 of two? So this is basically telling us that we can take, 5 you can divide a number out from what's in the apprentices and put it 6 outside of the FX. So we have F of six is equal to 12, 7 and we're trying to find out what F two is equal to. 8 So to do that, I'm going to divide three out of this F of 9 six and change this into three F of two. 10 And again, I can do that because we're told here in the problem that 11 I'm allowed to do that, and that's equal to 12. 12 So to find F of two, now I just have to divide both sides 13 by three. And when I do that, 14 I get F two is equal to four and 15 four is our final.
