Explanation for Question 14 From the Math (Calc) Section on the 2018 March Sat
Question 14 says if two X plus three is equal to X minus four, 2 what is the value of X? So I'm just going to start by taking 3 this equation and solving for X, 4 and then I'll plug that into X policy. So two X plus three is 5 equal to X minus four. I'm going to subtract extra, 6 both sides. And I'm going to subtract three from both sides. 7 And that tells me that X is equal to negative seven, 8 that I can plug that into X plus eight and I get positive 9 one. So I know that the correct answer is C.
