Explanation for Question 18 From the Reading Section on the 2018 April Sat

Hey guys. So question 18 is asking us to examine the data in the 2 chart. And this says what claim with the participants recall of included words to 3 support by figure one. So I need to do for this as go through 4 each of these options and look at them and then look at the chart 5 and see if they're accurate or not. And the one that is accurate and 6 true is the one that we can circle as a correct choice. 7 Option ACEs at the mean proportion of indications of recognition of included words was 8 over 0.8 in HSA M group, 9 and about 0.7, the ordinary memory group. 10 Now we take a look at the data in here. 11 The HSM group is not over 0.8. 12 It's clearly under 0.8. So we're going to quickly get rid of this option. 13 B says that the main proportion of indications and recognitions have included words. 14 This is like, we're really wordy thing, but all this is is just the 15 data that we're measuring. The numbers that we're measuring the HSI am was over 16 0.7 and the regular group was 0.6, 17 between 0.6 and 0.7. And clearly they will looks to be over 18 0.7. Based on that. And the ordinary memory group is in between 0.6 19 and 0.7. So based on that, 20 we can be pretty confident that B is our correct answer because it's correct. 21 And then another one can't be correct. We can be pretty sure C says 22 there is no difference between HSM group and the ordinary memory group. 23 We don't even need to look back and know that there is clearly a 24 difference in D says the ordinary memory group recalled more included words than did 25 the HSM group with a bar for the ordinary member group is lower than 26 the HSM group. So we know that that one is wrong as well. 27 Being that B is our answer for.
