[Video] Q4: Question 4 from the math (no calc) section of 2017 october sat

Explanation for Question 4 From the Math (No Calc) Section on the 2017 October Sat

Question four says the front of a rollercoaster car is at the bottom of 2 a hill and is 15 feet above the ground. 3 If the front of the rollercoaster car rises at a constant rate of eight 4 feet per second, which of the following equations gives the height H in feet 5 of the front of the rollercoaster car, as seconds after it starts up the 6 hill. So we know that the car starts 15 feet above the ground. 7 So 15 needs to be part of this equation. 8 And it shouldn't be next to a variable because the it's not like 15 9 or like the cars going up, uh, 15 feet per second. 10 It's just that it starts at a height of 15. So that should be 11 a constant in the equation. Then we know after that, 12 that it raises eight feet per second. 13 So every second it goes up eight feet. 14 And I'm going to represent that as eight S which means that our final 15 equation should be 15 plus eight S which is answer choice.
