Question 31 says the main purpose of the passage is to what? 2 So we can look at a few things here. We can kind of look 3 at the topics sentences of each of the paragraphs in the passage to see 4 maybe what the main idea of most of them is about. 5 And we can also look at the introductory paragraph of the passage to see 6 how they're kind of introducing the information that's going to be presented. 7 So we'll start with that second thing that I said, 8 and we can see that it says, but just how farming spread from there 9 into Europe has been a matter of intense research, 10 a new study of ancient DNA from 5,000 year-old skeletons found in a French 11 cave that early farmers entered the European continent by at least two different routes 12 and reveals new details about the social structures and dairying practices of some of 13 their societies. 14 So you can see right off the bat in that introductory paragraph, 15 which usually functions to introduce, 16 what's going to be talked about for the rest of the passage. 17 They're merely outlining a study, a single research study that's brought 18 about new information. And then if we look at the topic sentences of each 19 of the following paragraphs, we can see that the following paragraph is outlining 20 some questions. And then the next paragraph is talking about researchers and what 21 they used to rely on versus what they rely on now. 22 And then you can see in the following paragraph that they're introducing different research...
