Question 12 says the author central claim in the passage is what? 2 So let's look back in the passage here for some reoccurring ideas. 3 And then maybe from those reoccurring ideas, 4 we can develop the central claim. 5 So if we start firstly, 6 with the title of the passage 7 or the letter that they're talking about here, it's a letter to the women 8 of England on the injustice of mental subordination. 9 So the injustice of not being able to have the same mental capabilities 10 or having the same mental capabilities, but not being able to use them as 11 much. And then if you look at the beginning of paragraph two, 12 it says if women is not permitted to assert a majesty of mind, 13 so a majesty of mine might be equivalent to like a 14 depth or width of understanding. 15 Why would take your faculties with the labors of any species of education? 16 So this paragraph is pretty much rhetorical, 17 right? If you're not going to let them be smart, 18 then why give them an education at all? So this is kind of implying 19 that they are getting an education. They're just not being allowed to use it 20 in the same ways that men are. And then you can see they're a 21 little learning is a dangerous thing. Kind of like the adage 22 that men are using or not that men are using, 23 but that he is warning against men, 24 right? If you allow these people to learn, 25 they're going to be informed.
