The goal of the author here is to a, 5 achieve this in a grammatically correct fashion and B to kind of set this 6 up a little bit, traumatically a creative solution, 7 pause for a fact job sharing. 8 So when we look at our answer choices, 9 let's first go through and establish which of these are correct versus incorrect. 10 We'll see that our no change option uses this semi-colon. 11 And remember anytime we're using a semi-colon, 12 it has to be accompanied on both sides by an independent clause. 13 In this case, the part that follows job sharing is not a full sentence. 14 It cannot stand on its own. So we can't use a semi-colon with that 15 detail. 16 So we can eliminate choice a choice B kind of achieves a similar 17 problem, um, by using a period to separate solution and job, 18 um, this makes job sharing stand on its own, 19 which it cannot, it doesn't have a verb there.
