Question number eight says Sandy would be most critical of which action from 2 a passage. So critical here being maybe a bit judgmental, 3 maybe a bit I'm opposed to that action. 4 Um, so let's keep in mind what we know about this character. 5 It says at the end of the passage that, 6 um, he comes to the conclusion that the grownups were mad because simple situations 7 were turned into complex dramatic ones and not until then, 8 was everyone feeling important and happy? 9 So in his mind, um, the thing that he's really objecting to here is 10 turning these really small, small interactions into big elaborate 11 overemphasized affairs. So we look at our answer choices. 12 We will want to select one that reflects that idea of, 13 um, sort of overemphasizing a behavior or making an interaction more 14 complex than it really needs to be. Um, 15 because that is what the character is critical of. 16 So answer twice a two boys playing a game, 17 um, nothing really unnecessary there. 18 We can eliminate choice a B the inquiry about the gender of the child. 19 Again, that wasn't too elaborate.
