Question number 37 kind of picks up, 2 right where question number 36 left off and asks us which statement best reflects 3 Pendleton's view of the articles of Confederation. 4 Um, and this comes right at the end of the quote we were discussing 5 for the last question. Um, the question must be between this government and the 6 Confederation. This is where he starts to kind of address the Confederation. 7 Um, he says the ladder is no government at all. 8 So clearly, um, he's pretty outspoken opponent of the Confederation. 9 Um, he says that others have said that it has carried us to a 10 happy issue. Um, but he says not the Confederation, 11 but common danger in the spirit of America or Browns of our union. 12 So in other words, he argues that his opponents would perhaps claim that the 13 Confederation has led the country to a nice place. 14 However, in his view, it's actually other factors that are responsible for that outcome 15 and that we shouldn't miss attribute that positive outcome to the constitution, 16 or excuse me to the Confederation, which isn't responsible for it. 17 Um, so looking at our answer choices choice a says they were a source 18 of great concern to a large number of American 19 Pendleton doesn't make the claim that the articles work source of concern to a 20 large number of Americans.
