Question number 16, asks what main effect do the words clueless and mind reading 2 have on the tone of the passage. So we're going to find these words, 3 um, in the context to kind of see what they're referring to line 38 4 and line 61. 5 So here in 38, we're talking about, 6 um, very far from being clueless. 7 Um, and that's in reference to, 8 um, the correlation between, 9 um, predicted impressions and actual impressions. 10 So the author saying that we're not really, 11 um, perfect at predicting how others, 12 um, how others view us as a group. 13 Um, but we are formed from clueless. Uh, 14 and then the other, um, 15 word reference in the question is mind reading and line 61 here. 16 Um, perhaps is this holding your mind reading abilities to two highest standard? 17 So again, mind reading and clueless here are kind of being used 18 to, um, create a little bit of a, 19 a lighter atmosphere, um, for the reader, 20 the authors kind of joking around about mind reading, 21 clearly the author, isn't serious about mind reading. 22 They're just kind of talking about, um, how well you're able to perceive what 23 others are thinking. Um, so that's not necessarily mind reading. 24 It's, it's really just, um, understanding what others think of you, 25 but the other refers to it as mind reading, um, 26 to be a little bit more lighthearted, um, 27 and clueless is also kind of used in a similar way. 28 The other sets of you're far from clueless.
