[Video] Q3: Question 3 from the math (no calc) section of 2017 april sat

Explanation for Question 3 From the Math (No Calc) Section on the 2017 April Sat

Question three says which of the following polynomials is equivalent to the expression above. 2 So what I'm going to do here is I'm going to distribute and then 3 I'm going to add and subtract like terms. 4 So first I'm going to rewrite this equation as five X squared plus negative 5 three, which is negative three times one plus three X 6 negative three times, negative X plus negative two X squared 7 plus negative 10 X. 8 And then I can add and subtract like terms. 9 So the first lecture is five X squared and negative two X, 10 which becomes three X squared. And I can eliminate C and D. 11 Then I have three acts and negative 10 X, 12 and that becomes negative seven X. 13 And from there, we already know that the answer's a, 14 because B has positive seven X, 15 but we can just add on the negative three at the end to see 16 that it is in fact three X squared plus negative seven X plus negative 17 three, which is answer choices.
